Pa. Gym, Va. Tech Shooters Shopped on Same Website

Site rep: This proves people need to protect themselves

(Newser) – The Pennsylvania health club shooter and the Virginia Tech killer purchased gun equipment from the same website, WPXI Pittsburgh reports. George Sodini bought accessories from TGSCOM, which sold a gun to Seung-Hui Cho. “We deal with police and government agencies as customers,” said a rep for the firm, which runs the site TheGunSource.com. "This tragedy underscores the need for people to protect themselves and not rely only on police."

“It's unbelievable that guns can be purchased so easily on the Internet, and all it takes is one bullet to kill one person," said the mother of a Virginia Tech survivor. "We just want to promote responsible gun laws so the shooting like at the LA Fitness center don't happen.”

When the prohibiting buying guns through the mail was passed the internet didn't exist , The law should be amended to include the internet. . Almost anything can be forged on the internet , so the safeguards that are in place not work properly. Reply

You can't just buy guns online and have it shipped to your door. It doesn't work that way.

It's crucial that normal, ordinary Americans speak up for their god-given rights to own instruments of pain, tragedy and death. Reply

"instruments of pain, tragedy and death" But not when government possesses them, then it's just a necessary tool.

From the actual website: "Contact a local dealer and arrange for them to conduct the transfer (receive the firearm from us). Be sure that they are aware that a firearm will be sent to them on your behalf, and that they agree to this. Also, be sure that any and all fees associated with the transfer are agreed upon prior to the order being placed." Then "Have your local dealer fax a copy of their FFL (Federal Firearms License) to us at 920-569-4252. If you have trouble finding a dealer, call us at 1-800-518-3808 and we may be able to locate one for you." Reply
