(Newser) – A Georgia man is being held on charges of felony cruelty to children after he slapped a stranger’s crying child in Wal-Mart, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Roger Stephens, 61, approached the mother and said, “If you don’t shut that baby up, I will shut her up for you.” When the 2-year-old didn't desist, he found them in another aisle, picked up the child, and slapped her across the face multiple times. “See, I told you I would shut her up,” he said.

You need to read up on your charges if you think the man can be charged with attempted murder Ucantusethatname. There are however a few other charges that can be tacked onto the initial charge of felony cruelty, ones that will ensure this man is never near another child again

When my children acted up I would take them outside until they calmed down.....didn't take long for them to get the message and take the so called "straight path" parents.... crying children can be annoying to others and you need to take that into consideration....the guy was wrong but the parent should carry some of the blame

Married to Mrs K? No wonder he's slapping toddlers.
