Man Charged With Striking Stranger's Child

Annoyed by crying, Ga. shopper pledged to 'shut her up for you'

Share

(Newser) – A Georgia man is being held on charges of felony cruelty to children after he slapped a stranger’s crying child in Wal-Mart, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Roger Stephens, 61, approached the mother and said, “If you don’t shut that baby up, I will shut her up for you.” When the 2-year-old didn't desist, he found them in another aisle, picked up the child, and slapped her across the face multiple times. “See, I told you I would shut her up,” he said.

Only time a cop came to arrest me, a guy slapped his own child across the face multiple times because she asked for a box of cereal. I told him to leave her along once and the 4th time he clapped he he hit the floor....multiple times....Cop thought I struck the child at first, then a-hole began to yell at cop and told him it was his "kid"...cop apologized to me and cuffed the jerk took his sorry ass to jail and I was in court for his trial.....Anger Management did him wonders...that was 15 years ago, I should celibrate
