Lisa Niemi talks of their marriage, his last days

(NEWSER) - Nearly 7 months after Patrick Swayze’s death, “it’s not getting better” for widow Lisa Niemi, she says. She discusses her grief, her husband’s death, and their life together with the Times of London.

• Her emotions: “I have a myriad of feelings. Some are extreme, some are a general malaise, sometimes it’s like someone has poured gasoline on me and set me on fire.”
• His last days: “We told each other we loved each other over and over again. I never left the room without telling him. It still didn’t feel like enough.”

Patrick recalls her 'emotional,' sometimes 'silly' antics

(NEWSER) - The chemistry between Patrick Swayze and Dirty Dancing co-star Jennifer Grey was definitely on-screen-only. Grey was the cause of “a few moments of friction” on set because of her tendency to be “particularly emotional, sometimes bursting into tears if someone criticized her,” Swayze wrote in his memoir, out next week. “Other times, she slipped into silly moods, forcing us to do scenes over and over again when she'd start laughing.” More»

Cancer survivor Suzanne Somers believes 'poison,' 'toxins' killed Patrick Swayze

(NEWSER) - Suzanne Somers thinks she knows what killed Patrick Swayze, and it wasn’t cancer—it was chemotherapy, she tells the National Post. “They took this beautiful man,” says Somers, a cancer survivor who has a book about the disease coming out next month, “and they basically put poison in him.” Somers herself rejected chemotherapy, against the advice of her doctors, and beat her breast cancer.
