Bush Disses Obama, Palin in Aide's Book

Obama 'has no clue,' while Palin isn't 'remotely prepared'

(Newser) – George Bush apparently didn't think much of Barack Obama as a candidate. “This is a dangerous world, and this cat isn’t remotely qualified to handle it," he's quoted in a new book as saying. "This guy has no clue, I promise you.” GQ has excerpts of Speech-Less: Tales of a White House Survivor, by speechwriter Matt Latimer, in which Bush also dismisses Sarah Palin as a candidate and John McCain's campaign in general.

“This is a five-spiral crash, boys,” he tells his Oval Office compatriots. Of Palin, he joked, “What is she, the governor of Guam?” He turned charitable—“she’s interesting”—before making what Latimer calls a “smart assessment.” “This woman is being put into a position she is not even remotely prepared for,” Bush said. “She hasn’t spent one day on the national level.”

It was a rare dose of reality in a White House that liked to believe every decision was great, every Republican was a genius, and McCain was the hope of the world because, well, because he chose to be a member of our party. - Matt Latimer, on Bush's Palin comment

“I’m trying to remember if I’ve met her before. I’m sure I must have.” His eyes twinkled, then he asked, “What is she, the governor of Guam?” - Former President George W. Bush on Sarah Palin, in an excerpt from Latimer's book

Wow...listening to the great decider evaluate politicians abilities is akin to the captain of the Titanic discussing safety or O.J. Simpson offering maritall advice! Bush's presidency was a disaster because he didn't have a clue what to do as evidenced by his choice of Wolfowicz, Gonzalez, Cheny, Bremmer, et al. and the state of the economy ey al when he left office. The Republicans - and America! - desperately need intelligent, experienced, honest, patient elected officials to work in a bipartisan fashion with Obama to being America to life!

"This guy has no clue, I promise you.” ******************************************** LMAO. This from the most clueless, unintellegent, president the United States has ever seen. Bush's arrogance was only exceeded by his stupidity.
