In Blog Post, White House Blasts Fox News

Prez promised to call out detractors, and that he did over Olympics claims

(Newser) – In an unprecedented move, the White House has excoriated one of its most vocal opponents in a blog post ripping Fox News. The post singles out Glenn Beck, saying his "program has shown that nothing is worthy of respect if it can be used as part of a partisan attack to boost ratings" and proceeds to refute arguments the lachrymose talking head has made using the labels "RHETORIC" and "REALITY."

Headlined "Reality Check: Trying to Turn a Point of Pride into a Moment of Shame," the entry starts by refuting Beck’s claim that Vancouver lost $1 billion "when they had the Olympics"—kind of a gimme, considering the city won't host the Games until next year—and goes on to debunk a number of other Beck arguments. And don't look for this to be the end of the standoff, Time suggests: "Since both the White House and Fox are largely trying to rally different audiences, they can both benefit by keeping this fight going."

In the past, hosting the Olympics has been a source of pride and unity for the country, but once again Fox News' Glenn Beck program has shown that nothing is worthy of respect if it can be used as part of a partisan attack to boost ratings. - WhiteHouse.gov

Rocky, I can't help but notice you're incredibly reactionary. I bet you get all red in the face and start typing maddeningly when you read the comments of someone who doesn't agree with you. Bias is everywhere. The fact you can't see yours doesn't make you any better a person than the next.

have you not heard? all journalists tell lies! remember just a few weeks ago when MSNBC reporters purposefully blocked out a black tea party protester so they could argue the teabaggers were racist? The problem isn't the facts, it's our interpretations of the facts. Spin is everywhere, rocky, and you're no more biased than FN--in fact we all are!

You seem to "notice" many things that don't, y'know, exist.
