Two girls busted after football game melee

(Newser) – In the latest event in the season of teen violence, two Maryland girls have been busted after their videotaped beating of a student was posted on Facebook. On the tape, the two teens tackle the leader of a pom squad at a Silver Spring football game and kick and punch her on the ground, reports the Washington Post. Facebook visitors responded "LOL" and "hahaha" to the beating, apparently triggered over a boy.

The two girls, 16 and 17, have been charged with second-degree assault. The pom leader was not seriously injured. "It's this horrible vision in my head," said her mom, who viewed the attack on Facebook. "Where were the people who could have helped her?"  Honor student Derrion Albert, 16, was beaten to death outside a Chicago high school last week as a student filmed the attack.

its all good krystle......you having a normal rational mind, will have problems trying to understand such idiots, I don't get the anger thing either..it's just better to write them off...as morons

Haha, I wasn't really 'eyeballing' it. I was going up on the escalators and talking to a friend about getting a pretzel. Just then, a couple of girls on the down escalator passed by us and I noticed her pretzel in her hand. It was so innocent, I swear! She turned around and started calling me a bitch and all sorts of stuff. 0_o Telling me to come down there so she could kick my ass. I don't know what the hell her problem was!

This kind of thing has gone on forever. Before video phones when the perpetrators were caught and the parents were confronted the attitude was "kids will be kids" but now when confronted with the violence first hand people can not deny the ferocity and barbarism. This is a good thing, perhaps now we can address human violence where it begins with children instead of ignoring it until they turn into adults.
