(Newser) – Osama bin Laden, architect of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, will release a video to commemorate their sixth anniversary, says a Washington-based terrorist watchdog group. The video, the al-Qaeda leader's first in nearly three years, is circulating on radical Islamic websites and addresses the American public, Bloomberg reports.

There have been no confirmed sightings of bin Laden since December 2001, but the watchdog reports an image of him with a full beard, and a Taliban leader said last month that bin Laden is "extremely healthy and active." The US is offering up to $25 million for tips leading to bin Laden's capture.
