Orly Taitz Keeps the Faith in Obama Quest

She's a top birther, and her dental business is bustling

(Newser) – Say what you will about Orly Taitz, but she appears to be a successful dentist. The Washington Post drops in on America’s top birther (a word Taitz, incidentally, dislikes) to find her office bustling, and their interview is constantly being interrupted by calls from dentists eager to fill a job opening. Her law office is right next door, and she says her kids are thrilled that “the president of the United States will have to appear in Mom’s office.”

Of course, Taitz is willing to fly to him if she has to. She implores the Post reporter to “go with me to Obama and ask him: release all your school records … which would show whether he was enrolled as a foreign exchange student from Indonesia or Kenya?” Obama’s education is Taitz’s latest obsession. She heard an Internet rumor that it was funded by Saudi Arabia. “I’m questioning: Are there any strings attached? I don’t know.”

There's no reason to believe that that's going to happen. There is a lot of protection — the Secret Service. I think there is a much higher chance of violence against me. - Orly Taitz, on whether her claims could incite violence against Obama

If you were the producer of an opinionated news show and wanted to book a birther, whom would you choose? A nondescript Pennsylvanian or an excitable Moldovan American lawyer-dentist? - Liza Mundy

After reading all of the above comments it appears that the essence of anti-Birthers arguments are “attack the Birthers personally, not the issue”. Most Americans would like to know if Obama registered as a foreign student, what is wrong with asking this question, now try to deal with the issue.

Why does anyone even entertain these birther nutcases?
