Hilton escalates feud, says she treats 'pets like children'

(Newser) – Paris Hilton is still squealing with excitement over her new miniature piglet—“It’s a girl!” she tells Us—but she’s not pleased with PETA, which called her a “wretched example” for treating her pets “as disposable.” Not true, the heiress says: “I treat my pets like children. I think it's a lot better for the pig to be home with me than be made into bacon.”

BACON.....HOW ABSURD....a small one like that should be fed to about four to eight pounds, split down the middle cuban style, rubbed in sea salt and garlic, and puree of habenero, rosemary butter sauce..(seed and stem the peppers first if you don't like the heat too much)...and slow roasted in a covered pit...with a low peach wood and mesquite coal bed.....and don't forget the Mexican Martinis...with key lime, and Don Julio clear, and fresh oj with the sea salt rim

Investigators are expected in the next few days to serve subpoenas on the singer's physicians and the pharmacies where Houston obtained multiple prescription drugs, reports the Los Angeles Times . Officials aim to determine whether the drugs were dispensed properly, and if the singer was receiving too many prescriptions, a source tells the newspaper. Investigators will likely pore over a state-created database of controlled substances prescribed in California.
