Baby in Stroller Survives Train Collision

Australia video is going viral

Share

(Newser) – Step aside, balloon boy. Today's endangered child in the news involves a baby in a stroller who somehow escapes with only minor injuries after rolling in front of a train. The video from Australia is quickly going viral. It shows the baby's mom losing track for a second as the stroller rolls down a platform toward the tracks. The train pushed the stroller about 40 feet before stopping, but the 6-month-old is fine.

"Had the child not been strapped in when the train did connect with the pram, the child would have been dislodged from the pram and possibly rolled over by the train," said police.

Saw the video on the News this morning, if the Mom had not had the child properly fastened in and some great stroke of luck that baby would have indeed died from the original fall not to mention a train running over the baby
