(Newser) – A child's body found in a Georgia landfill has been identified as Somer Thompson, a 7-year-old Florida girl missing since Monday. The local sheriff told reporters that police were now in "full investigation mode" after discovering the corpse. Somer, who was identified from her clothes and a birthmark, disappeared while walking home from school—after quarreling with another girl, she walked ahead of the group and was never seen again.

There is a special place in hell for sumbitches like that...I would love to stake the perp out over a large fire ant nest and walk away....that poor child
