San Fran Is Best US Vacation Destination

Charleston, Santa Fe, New York, and Chicago round out top 5

(Newser) – San Francisco has topped this year’s Conde Nast Traveler list of American cities to visit. The city by the bay edged out Charleston , SC , at No. 2. Metropolises New York and Chicago made a strong showing as well, at Nos. 4 and 5, respectively. The list is based on a survey of 25,000 readers, notes the San Jose Mercury News. For all of the Americas, Vancouver , BC , nabbed the coveted top spot. For more of the list, including recommended hotels and travel tips, click the link to the right.

tourism is way down in old Frisco. Bums begging on every corner. You can't walk down Market St without being hit up for money every 100ft. After dark they line-up in alley ways, and set up there tents before they hit you again the next day.... This city has a program that pays over $400 a month to these bums. They go to the civic center district and collect there money. Call it a social security program for bums no age requirement. This is a sanctuary city for illegals as well. Mexican illegals stand on corners and wave at you to see if you have a place for them to stay and work........Sure SF is a great place to avoid........ Reply

You forgot that the locals band together to beat to death anybody who calls it Frisco. Unfortunatley the rest is true.

RobN.....your right "Frisco" is a local hate thing. They hate it when someone calls it Frisco.........oh well, just making friends.....
