Twilight's Pattinson: 'I Look Like an Idiot'

Twilight star tells mag he looks 'like an idiot,' denies romancing Stewart

Share

(Newser) – Robert Pattinson, Twilight star and current tween obsession, talks to Evgenia Peretz about his discomfort with fame (“I’m unbearably self-conscious”), how attractive he thinks he is (he looks like “a cartoon character”), and—of course—his rumored relationship with co-star Kristen Stewart. “It doesn’t make any difference what you say,” he says in the Vanity Fair profile. “I’ve literally been across the country, and it’s like, ‘Oh, they were on secret dates!’”

Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke disagrees, recalling an “always drunk” Pattinson developing a “nervous attraction” for Stewart. “What Rob and Kristen had is a multitude of feelings for each other. Complex feelings for each other,” she says. Stewart, though, is in Pattinson’s camp: “It’s so retarded,” she says. “We’re characters in this comic book.”

I find them refreshingly normal. So many others would let it get to their heads, but they're like, "Whatever." Good for them. Reply
