Moose Shuts Out Jays as Yanks Take 7th Straight

(Newser) – After a wretched August when three losses and a 17.69 ERA sent veteran Mike Mussina to the bullpen, the Yankees finally got to see Moose dominate again last night. Filling in for an injured Roger Clemens, Mussina kept the Blue Jays scoreless for 5 2/3 innings and paved the way for the team's seventh consecutive victory.

Mussina got some help from his infield with some flashy catches by Robinson Cano and Alex Rodriguez. But an A-Rod error let in the first run of Joba Chamberlain's young career in the eighth. The question now is how to fit Mussina into the rotation once Clemens returns. Joe Torre's response boiled down to "we'll see."
