Landrieu's Officially In, Leaving Only One Holdout

She'll allow bill to move forward; Blanche Lincoln hasn't tipped her hand

(AP) – And then there was one. Mary Landrieu confirmed today she'd vote in favor of allowing the Senate health care bill to move forward. "Much more work needs to be done," said the Louisiana Democrat, but she's seen enough modifications for now. She warned this doesn't mean she'll vote in favor of whatever final legislation emerges down the road. Heading into tonight's 8pm vote, that leaves one Democratic holdout in Harry Reid's quest for 60 votes, Nebraska's Blanche Lincoln. All 40 Republicans are opposed.

I'm responding to DLY's comment that, "Landreiu will not win reelection." That, Mr. Right-winger, is exactly the point and the difference between what the fascist right believes and is now doing and what this current Democrat administration and legislature believes and is now doing.-------------------------------------. Republicans are obstructionists. They have no idea of what to do nor any idea of what America needs and the majority want. They make noise to make noise and hope it translates into votes.----------------------------------------------Democrats, however, have listened to Americans, not radio jerks and have decided that they have four years to change America into the country intelligent, thinking people want. If it means losing individual seats in the House or Senate, so be it. What's important is doing what's best for America, not what's best for a political party.----------------------------------------------Republicans complain abut strong federal government, but we're learning every day how it is this de-centralized America the fascist right has created that led to all our problems.------------------------------------Even in the area of consumer protection, the fascist right wants the status que: 7 agencies handling credit, debit, loan and contract regulations. It's become a sham. The Democrats want one so that one agency watches and can act.---------------------------. Democrats know that time is on their side and supporting the president may make some lose their seats, but they will always be remembered by Americans who want a better country, not just a better financial position for their benefactors.

It couldn't be because of the $100 million earmark in the bill for Louisiana, now could it? They're already calling it the Louisiana Purchase.

Incessant flybuzz. Annoying yes, but harmless.
