Edwards '08 Legal Tab in Oct. '09: $43K

Ex-candidate racks up more than $43,000 in October

(Newser) – It’s been almost two years since John Edwards ended his presidential bid, but his campaign still managed to rack up $43,574 in legal fees last month, thanks to the ongoing fallout from the Rielle Hunter revelations. And that’s not even half the $96,000 the not-exactly-defunct campaign spent in October, including $4,000 for travel and $15,000 for salary for its ex-CFO, Politico reports.

Though Edwards pulled out of the race in January 2008, the campaign is still active, with $3 million on hand, according to FEC filings. The filings don’t state exactly what legal services Edwards got for his money, but they likely related to Hunter—Edwards is under federal investigation to see if he illegally paid her to keep quiet about their affair.

I really believe he is "completely out of public life". Duh. Good ridance to bad rubbish. All the people just can't understand why a candidate needs to be vetted. If he had been maybe we would have found all this out before he got further into the elections. But NO you don't want to know where Obama's birth certificate is. You don't want to see if he really went to Harvard. YOU just don't want to know about this bastard (it is a known fact that his mother was not married to his father until after the birth). Don't you want ot know why he runs around with such America haters? Yes, John Edwards should be out of political life forever, but you should not give Barry Hussein Sortoro a pass either. P.S. Sarah Palins book was vetted six ways to sunday but Obama's two books have never been vetted. What a shame that we should want something so bad we won't look farther to find out the truth so we know for sure what we are getting.

John Edwards is the ultimate disgrace to the Democratic Party. Suppose he were the Democratic candidate for President, and then his adultry became known? Suppose he was the Democratic candidate for VP? Another political travesty just handed to the Rethuglicans. What's even worse - he many have sunk Hillary's candidacy against Barack at that time. John Edwards is a sleazy elite adulterer who should be completely out of public life.
