Judge Who? No Placard for Ito After Many Thefts

He even tried gluing it on, to no avail

(Newser) – Of all the people damaged by the OJ Simpson trial, Lance Ito’s tale is perhaps the saddest—err, most mundane. The poor presiding judge’s name became so famous that the placard announcing him outside his courtroom was repeatedly pilfered over the years. He tried everything, the Los Angeles Times reports—even glue—but each new iteration would disappear all over again. So now he doesn’t have one. There is no investigation.

Lance Ito got fed up with folks stealing his nameplate, so now he just doesn't have one.

in the current political climate it might be better that he remain anonymous.

This judge gave new meaning to the air headed judge. He let the defense run wild. His love of the camera was sick. The theft of his name does not reach felony level.

How about etching it into the door itself.
