New Moon Eclipses Blind Side

Football flick tops vampire saga in Thanksgiving receipts

(Newser) New Moon extended its domination of the the box office over the Thanksgiving weekend, but The Blind Side showed surprising resilience and even outdrew the vampire picture on the holiday. New Moon raked in $42.5 million in 3 days, bringing its 10-day total to $230.7 million. The Blind Side did $40.1 million, actually rising 18% from its opening weekend total, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The top five:

  1. The Twilight Saga: New Moon, $42.5 million
  2. The Blind Side, $40.1 million
  3. 2012, $18 million
  4. Old Dogs, $16.8 million
  5. Disney's A Christmas Carol, $16 million

And, impostor troll, he'd lick you right back. Poor guy, having to pretend that he gives a hoot for that wain, wee damsel. I like that Vanity Fair wrote that he never sees that 'so called chick' he's supposed to love and admits that he lives in hotel rooms with his best "friend' and his sister. Wouldn't it be cool if we let people be themselves and celebrities? And Meyers gets some huge points for thinking of a new idea. Vampires--fuck, done with Ann Rice, but she spun that and made it work. Know how hard it is to think up something new?
