(Newser) – At least 48 people, including many women and children, were killed when twin bombs exploded in a Lahore marketplace late yesterday. The fire sparked a huge blaze in the center of the Pakistani city, the BBC reports. Hours earlier, 10 people were killed when a suicide bomber blew himself up outside a courthouse in Peshawar. More than 400 people have been killed in terrorist attacks since the Pakistani military began its offensive against Taliban strongholds last month.
