(Newser) – Insiders are split on the sincerity of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s global philanthropy spree, but everyone knows exactly who crafted their do-gooder image: Trevor Neilson. The “Hollywood philanthropy adviser” extraordinaire "practically created Brangelina,” an insider tells Ian Halperin for his book Brangelina. “It's practically synonymous with goodness in the public's mind.” PopEater obtained an excerpt.

Take Jolie’s spat with Madonna over her African adoption. “That was Angelina’s way of saying, ‘There’s not enough room in this racket for both of us,’” the insider tells Halperin. And yet Jolie appeared high and mighty while “Madonna was attacked as a dilettante,” she continues. “Neilson had a hand in that.” He also managed photo deals of Brangelina’s growing brood so they appeared like charity drives instead of publicity stunts, Halperin writes. Neilson doesn’t tell clients where to donate, but “how to use their giving to enhance their public image.” Read more details here.

I can't stand either one of them. Their headlines in the tabloids are tedious & Jolie comes across as a very cold person.

I am worried about all their chihuahuas...I mean children ending up at the pound when they go out of fashion.

I am morbidly fascinated by this.
