Could Conan O’Brien be replaced as Tonight Show host—by Jerry Seinfeld? Maybe not, but that’s what many at NBC want. Executives tell PopEater that Conan has been struggling so much in the ratings department that replacement discussions have already begun, and Seinfeld's name is at the top of the wish list. “The Tonight Show has lost 52% of its viewership in just one year,” one source says. “They would be idiots to not be having the replacement conversation”—although Seinfeld is, admittedly, a long shot.
