(Newser) – A Boston teen's excessive video game playing caused his mom to call 911 this weekend. Angela Mejia awoke at 2:30am to find her son still playing Grand Theft Auto IV, so she unplugged his PlayStation. "I want to help my son, but I can’t find a way," lamented the stressed-out mom. The video-addled 14-year-old argued, so she called the cops, who managed to persuade the son to hit pause on his life of virtual crime.

“They were just like, ‘Chill out. Go to bed,’ ” Mejia's son told the Boston Herald. Said his mom: "I called because if you don’t respect your mother, what are you going to do in your life?"

I like DLY's hat. :3. Also, I guess if I had one more nice thing to say about him: He never makes anybody feel stupid.

He may be bigger than she is, stronger, meaner. I saw a mother who had almost been killed by her son with Autism when she took away his gameboy. He was 13. Who knows what kind of problems/lack of behavioral control, etc. this kid has if his "argument" about the game was such that she had to call the cops. LOTS of parents call the cops about their uncontrollable kids, the weird thing about this is that it got in the paper.
