(Newser) – US authorities learned of Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab’s links to Islamic extremists while the would-be bomber was aboard a Detroit-bound plane, the Los Angeles Times reports, and planned to question him when it landed. Intelligence officials have certainly gotten the chance—but only after passengers on Northwest Flight 253 stifled Abdulmutallab’s attempt to detonate explosives hidden in his underwear.

QUEENIE... I do have great common sense. As a matter of fact I used to live in the middle east and am very much aware about muslims including their beliefs. I'm sure much more than you. However, I am aware that you can profile in many different ways than how a person looks. Where is your common sense lady??? And the next time you are speaking to me DO NOT use Gods name in vain to me. Just in case you don't realize I used the word "lady" very, very loosley. Good bye.
