Evil Needs Playlists, Too

What bin Laden, Ahmadinejad, Mugabe rock out to

(Newser) – When they’re not plotting to kill you or thousands of others, the world’s most evil men like to kick back with some tunes, too. The Guardian gives us an idea of what’s on their playlists:

  • Osama bin Laden: The al-Qaeda chief has the perfect soundtrack for hiding in caves from US B-52 bombers—the B-52s. One woman who claims she was his sex slave describes “this devout party boy who wanted to hear Van Halen or some B-52s. To this day, I would hear the song Rock Lobster in my sleep.”

  • Moammar Gadhafi: The Libyan strongman grooves out, and brushes up on his English, with Lionel Richie.
  • Robert Mugabe: Known for “his hot-headed tyranny and raving anti-colonial bombast,” Zimbabwe’s president chills out with British singer-songwriter Cliff Richard.
  • Mahmoud Ahmadinejad: After a long day of ordering members of the opposition Green movement beaten, nothing soothes Iran’s leader like Chris de Burgh’s Lady in Red.

Bushs inability to describe the nations enemies in any terms of other than "bad guys" made me think he was an arrested juvenile... and I was right.

lol yeah I know. It's just a really ridiculous headline. I'm okay with humanizing mass murderers for the sake of reflection - but calling them evil is kinda like... Really? /facepalm

Yeah, I wouldn't classify these guys as bad guys. They're just "misunderstood". After all, there are no absolutes. Life is just a giant essay question in which all answers are right.
