He also calls Madonna (who knew she was in the running?) a “pipe dream,” saying she wouldn’t have enough time for the gig. Who could potentially handle the job, though? "Perez would be funny," Cowell said. "He's got good taste in music, he's got a personality.” The gossip blogger has been informally campaigning for the position, and has his own music label. When asked if Noel Gallagher of Oasis would be a good pick, Cowell joked, “Noel? Do you think people would understand him? Subtitle him!” before admitting, “It’s a possibility.”
