(Newser) – Casey Johnson’s complete autopsy report was released yesterday, and it includes a few surprises—like the socialite’s “history of possible excess use of NyQuil.” No evidence of illegal drug abuse was found, however, and the official cause of death remains diabetic ketoacidosis, as previously reported. Insulin, Motrin, a sedative, and other over-the-counter medications were the only drugs found in her system.

The report adds that Johnson, who suffered from hypothyroidism, insomnia, and depression in addition to diabetes, controlled her medical conditions poorly and had a history of substance abuse. The coroner also spoke to the Johnson family attorney, who said Casey was attempting to mend her relationship with her family and had been visiting a psychiatrist, who deemed her not suicidal in the week before her death. Click here to read what the coroner found in Brittany Murphy's system, as detailed in a final report also published yesterday.
