(Newser) – A federal grand jury is preparing to indict John Edwards for misconduct stemming from his extramarital affair with Rielle Hunter. Edwards is being investigated by the FBI and IRS for campaign finance violations related to paying Hunter during their affair, and sources tell the National Enquirer that an indictment is near. "John is terrified," says one source. "He thinks the Feds are going to make an example of him."
