Sex-Club Flap Claims RNC Chief of Staff

It's unclear if Ken McKay's resignation was voluntary

The sex-club scandal that has rocked the Republican National Committee claimed its highest-ranking official yet today, with chief of staff Ken McKay resigning. An RNC rep wouldn’t say if McKay volunteered or was pushed, but did tell Politico that the move was directly related to the $2,000 spent at Voyeur West Hollywood.

“This is about ensuring that we have the tightest financial controls in place and to ensure that every nickel we spend is done with the goal of winning in November,” said Doug Heye, who added that chairman Michael Steele “wanted to take swift action so that we can move forward.”
