(Newser) – Upheaval in the financial sector has widespread implications—it even affects the annual Forbes rankings of the wealthiest fictional characters. Entering the list at No. 1 is Carlisle Cullen, the Twilight vampire patriarch, who has a serious advantage in that he's undead and has had 370 years to accumulate his $34.1 billion fortune. The full list is here; the rest of the top five are:

  1. Scrooge McDuck: "Gains were crimped because of money spent having adventures with three nephews and bumbling personal pilot."
  2. Richie Rich: "Analysts are bullish about market potential of Prof. Keenbean's latest invention, a fusion-powered ice cream scoop."
  3. Tony Stark, aka Iron Man: Boasts "that he has 'privatized world peace.'"
  4. Jed Clampett: The Beverly Hillbillies paterfamilias is riding high along with the price of crude oil.
