(Newser) – Five people were arrested in Georgia yesterday after police in suburban Atlanta found explosives in a car during a routine traffic stop. The officer suspected that the car may have been carrying contraband and uncovered shrapnel-packed devices "manufactured with the intent to cause great bodily harm," a police spokesman told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Two more devices were found when a home belonging to one of the suspects was searched. Police have not yet determined the intended target for the explosives.
