(User Submitted) – Pedro Guzman, a 21-year-old Kansas City man, decided that his friend's grandmother shut the door to his car too hard. He pleaded guilty to first-degree assault in March, but wasn't what you'd call repentant. In a phone call recorded at the Platte County jail, he opined, "People got to learn not to mouth off to people they don't know." He was sentenced last week to 25 years in prison. Yeah, if dude is going to prey on an elderly lady, he deserves at least some of that time but...he ought to get released during the day to work an 8 hour job and then...have to turn his paycheck over to his victim.
