The Simpsons patriarch grabbed the top spot in Entertainment Weekly’s survey of the best TV and film characters of the past two decades, the New York Post reports. “People can relate to Homer because we're all secretly propelled by desires we can't admit to,” says Simpsons creator Matt Groening. The Mirror reveals the rest of the top 10:

  2. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
  3. Tony Soprano
  4. The Joker (as played by Heath Ledger)
