A 14-year-old student killed himself after opening fire at his Cleveland high school today, inflicting non-fatal gunshot wounds on two adults and two students, Reuters reports. The incident occurred in early afternoon at SuccessTech Academy. Various media reports suggested that the boy had been suspended prior to the shooting spree. The adults were reported to be in stable condition.

The teen, generally described as "odd" by other students, was apparently angry over a suspension served this week for in-school fighting. Cleveland's top public-schools official said all classes would be cancelled Thursday. SuccessTech is a non-traditional high school whose 250 students must apply for admission to the math- and technology-heavy curriculum. (More Cleveland stories.)
