9 People Shot in Chicago in Gang Violence

(User Submitted) – Nine people were shot at a bus turnaround in southside Chicago last night. The victims—eight males and one female, the latter an apparent innocent bystander—are expected to recover. Police speculate the shootings were gang-related. Four victims are members of the Gangster Disciples and one is a Vice Lord. Police have no suspects in custody. The shooting rocked a city already hard hit by gun violence. I think it's wrong to have mandatory gun training in Chicago. You see, 9 people were shot, but none were killed, this means it the shooters had been better trained we'd have 8 dead,

The problem is not access to guns. Gang life is all about entitlement! Most gangstas think they are entitled to having hip clothes, nice cars, sex without responsibility and money. They rationalize the white man has created an unfair system that keeps them down and poor. So, they take the easy way out: crime and life on the street... Sell drugs, robbery, prostitution, whatever gets them what they want with the least amount of effort. They say they want respect. But they are not willing to earn it. They are too lazy to acquire an education or skills to support themselves. They listen rap to music that idolizes thug life. They look up to thugs with lots of gold and bling. They speak a language that reflects their ignorance... even gloat in it. Most are illiterate dropouts. Hispanic gangs are no better. They don't think they should have to play by the rules of a civilized society. Taking away the guns will change nothing. Felons can't own them legally anyway. Changing this tribal dog-eat-dog culture will not be easy or happen any time soon.
