(Newser) – The Bruins, playing their home opener, won a sloppy but hard-fought game against the Lightning last night.  In a a crowded Boston sports scene the Bruins (downright awful last year) are proving their worth getting a little attention of their own. "We’re trying to change the attitude here," said Marc Stern, who scored twice.

Bruins coach Claude Julian saw the game for what it was, saying: “We’re definitely happy with the win. It’s certainly important.  Hopefully by the end of the year we won’t remember how we won that one. It wasn’t a pretty win.”
