Normally a house of horrors for Tom Brady, Miami instead yielded a career day to the quarterback of unbeaten New England, and the Dolphins lost their seventh game of the season. Brady threw for six touchdowns, a team record; the last came off the bench after the Dolphins pulled to within (gasp) 21. The Patriots had achieved a 42-7 halftime lead.

The division rival Dolphins had upset the Patriots in two of their past three Miami matches, but this one was rarely in doubt, as gamebreaker Randy Moss and scrappy possession receiver Wes Welker notched two scores apiece. Miami scored three of its four touchdowns in the fourth quarter. (More NFL stories.)
