Yankees' Chamberlain arrested in Nebraska on 3 charges

(AP) - New York Yankees pitcher Joba Chamberlain was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, speeding, and having an open container of alcohol in his vehicle. Nebraska State Patrol said Chamberlain was stopped for speeding near his hometown of Lincoln at about 1am yesterday. Chamberlain was taken to the Cornhusker Place Detox in Lincoln, which is the normal protocol. More »

Former US Weekly magazine editor banks on bad driving with TMZ

(Newser) - A former magazine editor collected $27,500 from a gossip internet site after making the 911 phone call that led to Heather Locklear's DUI bust, reports ABC News. Jill Ishkanian, a one-time editor at Us Weekly magazine, called the cops after spotting Lockyear in the parking lot of a California supermarket. Indiana Jones star rolled his car this morning in LA

(Newser) - Police arrested actor Shia LaBeouf early this morning after the 22-year-old rolled his car while attempting a left turn in Los Angeles. LaBeouf was taken to a hospital for injuries to the head, left hand, and knee. No one else was seriously injured. It's LaBeouf's second recent run-in with the law—he was charged with appearing intoxicated and refusing to leave a Chicago store in November. Charges were later dropped. More »

(Newser) - Marcus Vick was arrested today and charged with DUI, the Virginian-Pilot reports. An officer said he approached the former Dolphins quarterback’s car when he heard two people arguing, prompting Vick to speed off. Another officer stopped Vick’s car and administered a sobriety test, which he and his companion failed.
