House protest will last 'as long as it takes' to get Dems back to DC

(Newser) - House Republicans said today reinforcements are on the way in their attempt to force the Democratic majority to interrupt the August recess and vote on domestic oil drilling. “There are plans underway to be here into next week,” Rep. Mike Pence told Politico. “We will be here as long as it takes.” Added one Illinois lawmaker who drove through the night, “We loaded up the minivan just like the Griswolds” of National Lampoon’s Vacation fame.
