Solace banked $70.4 million, topping Die Another Day 's $47 million debut. (Newser) - Quantum of Solace is poised to post the biggest opening weekend in James Bond franchise history, Variety reports. The blockbuster grossed $27 million in domestic box-office returns yesterday, when it opened in 3,451 theaters nationwide.
