Orlando matched its win total from last season with 40 in drubbing injury-ridden Washington, the second-place team in the Southeast Division despite a losing record. Dwight Howard had a ho-hum 20 points and 11 boards in a contest that wasn't close from the beginning. Also in the Southeast:

  • The Raptors picked up where they left off in Miami, cruising to a 108-83 blowout against the Heat after beating them by 32 in their previous encounter there.
