In what isn't the first instance of the media reporting on potentially suicidal behavior on the part of Sinead O'Connor, TMZ reports that the singer has been termed "missing suicidal" by police after she failed to return from an afternoon bike ride in a suburb north of Chicago on Sunday. The gossip site reports she set off in Wilmette on a Raleigh motorized bicycle outfitted with a pink basket. She was wearing black leather pants, a black parka, and a sweatshirt reading "Ireland" on the back.

USA Today reports the "check-for-well-being alert" put out by Wilmette police states the 49-year-old left at 6am local time, and that an anonymous caller feared for her well being. No word on why she was in the suburb, per the AP, which couldn't get a comment from her talent agency or publicist. (More Sinead O'Connor stories.)
