Witches Furious With O'Donnell
Wiccans have nothing to so with satanism, emphasized a high priestess of Wiccans, despite Christine O'Donnell's experiences.   (?ED?WW day_dae (esteemedhelga))

Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell apparently didn't realize she was risking votes when she denounced her witchcraft-dabbling past as a brief fling with "questionable" people. Now witches are furious. "She is defaming Wiccans," High Priestess Selena Fox told the Huffington Post. "America needs to be a place where you can celebrate diversity and practice your religion without getting ridiculed or defamed."

A candidate who "equates witchcraft with satanism is ill informed and is not likely to get the support of people involved in nature religion," said Fox, referring to O'Donnell's experiences at a "black mass" that she discussed on Bill Maher's Politically Incorrect. "I'm concerned there will be more misinformation as well as ridicule and disrespect. We are living in politically turbulent times." Another Wiccan leader warned that there is a "very large pagan community in Delaware."
