Former Survivor producer Bruce Beresford-Redman has been taken into custody, more than 5 months after Mexican authorities accused him of killing his wife and issued a warrant for his arrest. Beresford-Redman was arrested as a fugitive at his home in California, AP reports. He will appear in court in Los Angeles today and is expected to fight efforts to extradite him to Mexico.

The former producer soon became a suspect after his wife's body was found in a sewer at the Cancun resort they had been staying at in April. She had discovered he was having an affair and the two were seen fighting at the resort, according to a legal complaint unsealed after his arrest. Beresford-Redman's lawyer says "he is an innocent man being wrongfully accused by a foreign government." Click here for more.
