(Newser) – After 22 years of investigations, researchers may have found one of Amelia Earhart’s bones. The tiny bone fragment, discovered on an uninhabited southwest Pacific island, was at first thought to be from a turtle. Researchers now believe it could be human, Discovery News reports. “All of the evidence we have found on Nikumaroro is consistent with the hypothesis that Earhart and her navigator, Fred Noonan, landed and eventually died there as castaways," says the director of the recovery group. From all credible sources, this island is over two hours further than she would have been able to fly with the fuel she had. The group (TIGHAR) that has been doing the "research" on this island for 22 years is determined she was there, but a lot of people think they're nuts. To answer Kookey, there was a partial skeleton discovered there long ago, which was sent off for testing and the bones were lost. This supposed finger bone was found next to the remains of a sea turtle. Sea turtles have finger bones in their flippers.

Here's something no human has ever uttered in the all of known history: "Amelia Earhart is a sexy hottie!"

Amelia Earhart used makeup? I figured her as more of a plane down to earth kind of gal.
