(Newser) – A gargantuan Dutchman serving time for fraud is seeking early release because his cell just isn't big enough. The prisoner—who is 7 feet tall and weighs 500 pounds—says he can't sleep properly or use the cell's shower and toilet without extreme discomfort, the BBC reports. He is seeking to finish his sentence under house arrest. "My client just wants to serve a comparable sentence without pain," the leviathan's lawyer says, adding that the con must "sleep with one eye open in case he falls out of bed." He continues, "He is not obese. He is a giant. He even walks like a giant, like out of the comic books."

The giant Dutchman's lawyer says the inhumanely small cell size violates his client's human rights.

This story has touched my heart. Have only one thing to say TOUGH! As far as sleeping with one eye open in case he calls out of bed..what is with that? Why not just tie him outside in the exercise yard. Plenty of room there.
