(Newser) – The man accused of being the East Coast Rapist tried to hang himself in his jail cell yesterday, but suffered only minor injuries, reports the Hartford Courant. Aaron Thomas, who was arrested Friday for a series of rapes dating back to 1997, was taken to a local hospital, but returned to jail later in the day. The newspaper also reports that Thomas was wanted by the IRS for failing to pay more than $11,000 in taxes.

Poor thing. They should have given him another piece of rope & told him to try again. His DNA proved he raped at least 17 women in 4 seperate states going on nearly 2 decades - and that's only the one's we know of. No sympathy here. If he tries again, let him die - save the taxpayers the waste of time of a trial and years of taking care of him in prison. Degenerate scumbag!
