(Newser) – In a column for CNN, David Gergen wrote about how "ironic" it is that the advisers who "talked Obama into using force" against Moammar Gadhafi were all women. But Rush Limbaugh was not at all surprised by the fact that "leading male advisers were opposed." Referencing the column on yesterday's show, Limbaugh noted, "We're talking about male liberals! Of course they were opposed. It's the new castrati. Of course the males were opposed—they're sissies! And here's the No. 1, the leader of the club, and he happens to sit in the Oval Orifice." Rush Limbaugh, the angry little man who flaps his jaws to the tune of 40+ million dollars a year spewing out rancor and vitriol to an audience rapt with anticipation, is obviously so enamored by the sound of his own voice that the only thing bigger than his mouth would have to be his ego. Of course he would like to think of himself as an intellectual and deep thinker; a sophist in the vein of Plato or Socrates, when in fact he is none of the above---as evidenced by the emotional import of his rhetoric. It’s Limbaugh serving and promoting Limbaugh and those like him---forget truth! This self appointed last great defender of American values (= free market capitalism, free market capitalism and free market capitalism) would have us think that life revolves around the principles of supply and demand and that capitalism in and of itself is a virtue! His joke at the 2009 CPAC about Larry King in heaven (an attempt at self deprecation) says it all ---- God thinks he’s Rush Limbaugh, yeah right! And he’d have us think he’s poking fun at himself and that Obama is the one with a Messiah complex.
