(Newser) – Two American servicemen were killed in Afghanistan last week in what is believed to be the first case of friendly fire deaths involving a Predator drone. The pair were killed by a Hellfire missile after Marines under fire called in a strike, military officials tell NBC. The Marines were viewing video from the drone and apparently mistook reinforcements moving toward them on foot for the enemy, officials say. The US military is investigating the incident.

NIce job idiots. Launching a million dollar missile to kill your fellow soldiers. Another reason to climb out of the shit-filled hole we are in. When will sanity regain control and we end these endless outrageous costly wars and cut the bloated gluttony of the military for good. What does the Marine Corp commander say to the parents? "They died for a noble cause." Pure horseshit.
