Palin on Photos: Stop Pussy-Footing Around

Release the Osama bin Laden takedown photos—now—Sarah Palin is demanding. "Show photo as warning to others seeking America's destruction. No pussy-footing around, no politicking, no drama; it's part of the mission," Palin tweeted yesterday. Others agree photos of the dead terror master should be released, though primarily to prove that bin Laden is undeniably and reliably dead, reports the Los Angeles Times. "I know bin Laden is dead. But the best way to protect and defend our interests overseas is to prove that fact to the rest of the world," said South Carolina Sen. Lindsay Graham.

President Obama has decided not to release photos of bin Laden's corpse, despite apparent pressure to do so by the CIA. He said releasing the gruesome shots might appear as "trophies," and could incite wide-ranging protests and violence. Reuters has published photos of three of the victims (though not bin Laden) and the compound, which the news organization obtained from a Pakistani security official.
