Obama Will Help 9/11 Teen Meet Justin Bieber

Payton Wall's father died in World Trade Center

(Newser) – The leader of the free world has a phone call to make to a certain teen idol. President Obama today promised a teen whose father died inside the World Trade Center that he'd help her meet Justin Bieber, reports DNAinfo. "He told us he knows Justin," said 14-year-old Payton Wall, who met the president with her family at today's wreath-laying ceremony. Her dad, Glen Wall, worked at Cantor Fitzgerald in Tower 1.

Payton wrote to the president previously and today got to greet him in person. "I was practicing my handshake all day, but he gave me a hug," she said. Click for more.

What about all the children who have had to endure years of watching their parent die of cancer? I almost forgot, September 11th, 2001 was the first time in history anyone ever lost a parent. People lose parents every single day. Sometimes both at once. It kind of makes me sick that people try to use 9/11 to cash in, as if their loss is more significant than anyone else's.
